I saw an advertisement on linkedin and applied online. The online application requires disclosure of very invasive, unnecessary information such as salary history (all companies need to know is what your salary requirements are for THIS position). At the very end of the application on the very LAST screen, you're required to agree to a consumer credit report - again, unnecessarily invasive since studies show a credit report (poor-excellent) is absolutely no predictor of financial fraud or employment performance. Student loans, credit history, your car note - none of this is an employer's business. I wouldn't agree to disclosure so I was disqualified from the position. Hertz needs to stop unnecessarily collecting irrelevant personal data from prospective applicants.

Interview
Was set up for interview via email. I was told I would be interviewing with two people. One person did not show. I showed up 10 minutes early and waited 20 minutes. At the end of the interview, I was told that I would receive an update in the next few days and i never heard back from anyone. I sent a follow up email that was ignored.
I applied though a staffing agency , they set me up with a interview. The interview was pretty easy and straight forward. They asked questions off of a paper. The questions were scenarios and about something you have experienced.
