I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC
Interview
One phone interview and two on-site interviews. First had a call with an internal recruiter; then met with the hiring manager and team members; lastly met with direct manager's manager. The entire process is concise but well-organized. The interviewers seemed to be well-prepared. Some of the questions were difficult but I did not take them personally. Confidence and some sense of humor would definitely help. Do your homework!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical behavioral questions plus questions about the specific areas applied for.
-Strengths and weaknesses
-How to work with difficult people
-What would your current manager say about you
-Why are you interested in this position, HSBC and this industry?
etc.
I applied online. I interviewed at HSBC (Bengaluru) in Sept 2024
Interview
Very slow and non transparent hiring process. Took 1 month to schedule interview and then was told that position will be closed in. 2 weeks. After conducting 2 rounds in a single days there was no communication for 2-3 weeks from HR. Even after multiple reachouts he told its on hold.
Both interviews went well and were relatively easy. I feel the process can be more transparent where feedbacks are provided to candidates and are not kept wondering.
It is a group interview with seven candidates, we have done a group assessment together. It is a group assessment for a discussion on the outlook of economies in Hong Kong.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC (Bangalore Rural) in Aug 2022
Interview
It was good and time taking but fruitful to have myself employed here. The interview process went on for 4 rounds with senior levels and was closed within a month.
