      Customer Success Manager Interview

      28 Jul 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Gusto (Denver, CO)

      Interview

Incredibly long process and unprofessional. Went through several rounds of interviews across 10 people only to be ghosted unexpectedly with no response to emails requesting an update. It’s not respectful of candidates’ time to string them along for that long without even providing a final resolution.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gusto (Denver, CO) in Apr 2024

      Interview

1st Recruiter reached out for screening interview, kept interrupting. 2nd Recruiter got assigned for follow ups, 2 hour with four different interviewers, some not pertained to role, said it was casual conversation but very scripted questions. no time left to ask questions about the role. last interview with head of CSM, had been 6 weeks on the job, made zero sense to interview with someone who seemed to be job hopping and just finished training. overall experience: they are all over the place, the bad reviews from employees make sense. had to keep asking for updates because recruiter failed to do so

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      26 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gusto (San Francisco, CA) in May 2015

      Interview

First interaction as a phone screen with an internal recruiter, who was very friendly and helpful. The next step was a little disappointing, as I felt it was very impersonal: you're asked to submit a recorded (video) interview where you're presented with 5 questions (1 minute each), and you have one week to submit your video.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about yourself, How would you pitch Zenpayroll to someone evaluating the service, Why do you want to work here, Why do you feel you're a good fit, Describe a time wherein you made a professional mistake and how you handled it
