I saw a person I followed on Twitter that they were looking for candidates for a great team.
I requested for the Job Post
and they started with an awesome email and request for time for a first screen call.
The internal recruiter was awesome and definitely felt like the right place.
A few hours the initial email I got another email with a request to be interviewed directly by the manager that was hiring for this specific team. I also got text messages from the recruiter to see if I can change my schedule to receive the screen call, I thought it was really odd that the process scaled to the hiring manager.
I mentioned I couldn't make it for that specific requested time so I asked for more times and finally got scheduled for next week.
It was supposed to be 30mins call, just to check on past experiences and have time to answer questions about Gusto.
I definitely don't recommend having managers that become combative when candidates describe what's being asked and talk over answers showing a clear disrespect on someone else's experiences.
