      Account Executive Interview

      19 Mar 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Gusto

      Interview

Open discussion with several associates. They asked good, open-ended questions and allowed plenty of time to ask questions and learn about the firm. It sounds like a great environment.

      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Gusto (Denver, CO)

      Interview

Iapplied online and a recruiter reached out to schedule an initial phone interview. She was slow to respond and didn't even show up to the first scheduled call - no "not going to make it, my apologies" note or anything. She apologized over email a week later and asked to reschedule. So we reschedule and when the call actually does take place it just an all around bad experience. Not conversational whatsoever, she's clearing reading questions off a list, jotting notes, and quickly moving to the next question. After getting through these questions, she says -based on my background - I'm not a good fit. BUT she would be so generous as to consider me for a lessor role with pay, that's well below what I'm making and what she originally quoted. This, because I didn't have "payroll" experience. For serious sales professionals, interviewing here is a waste of time .

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gusto (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2015

      Interview

I was in the later stages of my career search when I was contacted by an internal recruiter. The initial phone screen was basically a slue of generic, open-ended questions. Nothing difficult here, they just want to see if you fit their mold. After a few days of on-site interviews with other opportunities, I decided to email and thank the recruiter for their time and let them know I was no longer interested in the position. I was just too far along and nothing during our conversation really wowed me enough to put other offers on the back burner.---I didn't expect anything else from them but then a day or so later, I get a 'rejection' form-letter from them. Guess they didn't like being rejected first lol.
