Round 1: Online Aptitude and Coding Test
The test had three sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and a basic programming section.
One coding question was to check if a string is a palindrome using recursion.
Time management was crucial since the aptitude section was a bit lengthy.
Round 2: Technical Interview (30 mins)
The interviewer started with a brief introduction and asked about my favorite programming language (I said Java).
Questions included:
What is OOP? Explain with examples.
Difference between ArrayList and LinkedList.
Write a Java program to reverse a linked list.
Explain how a HashMap works internally.
Basics of DBMS and one SQL query: “Find the second highest salary from a table.”
Round 3: HR Interview (20 mins)
Questions were mostly behavioral:
Tell me about yourself.
Why Infosys?
Are you willing to relocate?
How do you handle stress or tight deadlines?
Outcome: Selected 🎉
The key was being confident, clear with basics, and keeping answers structured. Even if I didn’t know an answer, I explained my thought process honestly.
