I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grayson County, Texas (Denison, TX) in May 2013
Interview
Fairly generic interview questions followed by short job-specific scenario questions. I was interviewed by two administrators, very amicable. The scenario questions might be a hurdle for those new to the field. Always remember that in critical situations, maintaining supervision of the majority of residents is top priority 99% of the time. If you are stuck choosing between chasing a lone runner or being the only observer of the rest of the residents, always choose to stay with the group and relay information about the loner to other staff. The interview process was fairly relaxed, and the proctors were friendly and helpful in answering any questions or clarifying questions.
