Graphy Engineering Manager interview questions

Initial 30 minute chat with their talent team to gauge experience and understand the role. A written questionnaire to help convey your written English/ability to communicate effectively via text communications as they are fully-remote. A 2.5 hour round of interviews where you meet the CEO, product & design team, an existing engineering manager and a couple of devs from the team. Generally informal chats to understand each other and ensure there’s a good fit from both sides. I was a little confused when I was rejected at the final stage on the basis that my personnel management and leadership came across as excellent, but the technical side was lacking. This didn’t really fit the job description and initial chat that I had less than a week prior. I fed this back and was told the shape of the role became more apparent over the course of the week during interviews.
