My interview was conducted over the phone. The HR called 30 minutes late with no prior notice and only spent 15 minutes out of the scheduled 45 asking non-technical questions such as residency status and whether I possessed a driver's license. Then, she said she was running late on other interviews and ended the call.
The interview process was professional and well organized. The interviewers were friendly and asked a mix of technical and behavioral questions. The process gave me a good understanding of the role, the team, and the company culture.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grantek
Interview
Initially had a quick phone screen with their recruiter. After that had a video conference with the Director and Engineering and Engineering manager. Usually the next step would have been a phone interview with the CEO, but he was on vacation and instead had one with the Senior Director of Engineering. The whole process went at a fast pace and everyone was very responsive. Shortly after the last interview with the Senior Director I received a job offer and the Grantek setup another video conference to go over the offer in detail.
The interviews did have the usual technical questions, but there was also a large focus on me as a person as well as Grantek. They put a lot of value to make sure that I was a good fit for the Grantek culture and that Grantek was a good fit for me also. Everyone I talked to was very pleasant, responsive and seemed to really like working for Grantek.
