I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Granite Express (Mesa, AZ) in Jan 2012
Interview
I submitted my resume and cover letter online and was interviewed by the owner and general manager (2 men), in person. They asked very detailed questions about my goals, what type of work I preferred, why I left my last position, and how I felt I could help them. They also asked about what type of worker I thought I was, if I worked well with people, on the phone, and under pressure. The people were friendly, but they did ask somewhat probing questions about my personal life. The culture was somewhat casual, but still focused on good customer service. The office was in a small building that was nicely built and nice looking on the outside, but messy and disorganized on the inside. They seemed like they might hire me and promised me a call back either way, but did not call and the deadline for hiring passed without any notice from them.

Question 1
Do you prefer to work in the back with many tasks to concentrate on to fill your day or do you prefer to work in the front with lots of interaction from customers and co-workers?
If you were chosen for the position, do you feel you could commit to being loyal to this company for several years, despite the fact that we are not offering you anywhere near the salary you were making at your previous position?
