      Sales Development Representative Interview

      15 Nov 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Lincoln, NE
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Glint (Lincoln, NE) in Oct 2016

      Interview

I really enjoyed my interview process with Glint. I had three stages: phone, in-person, and one last video interview before I received an offer. With each step of the way, I was getting more and more excited about working with Glint. It didn't really even feel like an interview, but more of just a natural conversation. I was able to ask a lot of questions about the work I'd be doing and the kind of managers I would be working under. Anyone who is passionate about sales would thrive in this interview process.

      Interview

Hands down the worst interview experience I've ever had. The process took about two weeks. There was a total of 4 interviews. 2 phone and 2 in person. The interviews were pretty standard. The part that was the worst is the expectations that were set. I was led to believe the entire time that all was going great even after the last interview where I met the CEO. The part that blindsided me is that they said feedback was positive and all was good then said the last step was checking my references. My references never called and I got an email the next Monday saying they went a "different direction". The recruiters assistant had said if you have any questions about this please give me a call... I did and got no call back. After I emailed the recruiters boss I finally got a call. They said something had changed internally and that's why I didn't get an offer and also the money I made at my previous employer was too high for them... First of all money can be negotiable and if there was an issue with money they can say that when its discussed not drag you through the process and waste your time. Also their "something changed internally" reason obviously isn't true either given they just posted a new job posting on LinkedIn for this role. My advice would be don't waste your time they don't respect it.

      Redwood City, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Glint (Redwood City, CA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

I had an initial phone screen with the hiring manager. Afterwards, I came onsite for an in-person interview with both the hiring manager and his manager. From there, I came back later that week for an onsite sales call demonstration. After, I met with both the VP of Sales and the CEO.
