      Senior Manager Interview

      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Interview

The interview process itself was about average for the position I was applying for, however the recruiter made it an incredibly unpleasant experience. For initial recruiter calls, the recruiter asked for my upcoming availability yet scheduled calls outside of my availability. The calls were rescheduled multiple times last minute, and reschedules were again outside of my availability. Absolutely no respect for my time. The interviews themselves went well, or so I thought. Interviewed with 3 people, 1 hour each. Conversations were pleasant and the interviewers were friendly. They asked a lot of your typical interview type questions. When the recruiter called to tell me I was rejected, she first asked me for how I thought the interviews went. Knowing she was about to reject me, this seems incredibly rude, and again, a waste of my time.

      Interview

Worst recruiter ever! GitHub does not treat people with respect. Having completed 6 interviews and 2 HR calls with only remaining wrap up calls (that were already scheduled), I was ghosted by this company. One day before the final wrap up call, I emailed the recruiter. He didn’t respond to my email and I received an auto mail from no reply address telling me they decided not to move forward and my remaining interviews are canceled. After I spent this much time interviewing, at least I deserved a call from the recruiter. Canceling the scheduled wrap up call in an automated email… this is by far the worst experience I ever had with any company. They need to learn how to treat people with respect. They talk about diversity and inclusion so much but behave completely in an opposite way.
