I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GitHub (Dallas, TX)
Interview
HR sent a "take home test" via email using Google docs. I did my best to respond to the writing test. However, I write about software. How are cooking-related questions relevant to software documentation? I don't cook. This seems gender-biased.
I never spoke to an actual human.

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at GitHub
Interview
Typical back and forth with an HR contact interspersed with some team and hiring manager interviews. Overall a very positive experience. Everyone I spoke to was very warm and welcoming. Only complaint would be how slow the process was. It took about 4 months from start to finish, sometimes with no updates or communication for weeks.
