I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gimlet Media (Buenos Aires) in Jan 2023
Interview
Entrevistada por el gerente local en Buenos Aires. Las condiciones dejaban mucho que desear, muy diferentes a lo publicado en el anuncio de empleo en Linkedin. No fui convocada nuevamente.
I applied online. I interviewed at Gimlet Media (Brooklyn, NY)
Interview
The phone interviews were good; the repetitive, hours-long, cattle-call-style interview, not so much. I got the sense that certain individuals on the team had spent a bit too long studying the leadership manuals of thought-piece-writing Silicon Valley CEOs. Probably should have taken a cue from the name of their main product; the "startup" affectation was not for me.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gimlet Media (New York, NY) in Dec 2019
Interview
One phone screener with Spotify HR, followed by a one-hour FaceTime interview with a Gimlet employee, followed by an interview assignment, followed by an on-site interview that consisted of three 45 minute interviews at the Gimlet office's with prospective bosses. I was interviewed for two positions: Exec. Assistant to the CEO and Exec. Assistant to his two direct reports. The process was conducted by Spotify HR, as Gimlet is now a Spotify company. Weeks passed between rounds with minimal communication and no feedback from Spotify HR.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview questions in the first round covered basic information focusing on my work history and expectations to confirm I was compatible for the role. The second interview was a more in depth Q&A about my experiences and how they have prepared me for a role at Gimlet. My three in-person interviews were repetitive. It did not seem that the interviewers were at all familiar with any of the information provided in past rounds or respectful of the work that went in to getting to that final stage.
