I went through a phone interview and then a panel interview with a presentation and assessment. The first interview took about twenty minutes, the second took four hours. I thought the interview was average difficulty, lots of work style questions and then a QA after the research presentation. After the half day interview, which I had to take off work to attend, I received no other correspondence from the hiring team in spite of reaching out multiple times. Honestly this turned me off from applying for further positions since I had given so much time to this interview process only to be ghosted and not even told if someone else was selected. I understand not reaching back to all candidates as that’s very time consuming, but I was one of the finalists so this was disturbing behavior to me. It’s not indicative of a healthy workplace or positive HR environment.
