LONG. A recruiter reached out to me around May, and I interviewed 4x from May through July (almost two full months). I believe they are looking for that "perfect" candidate which is allowing great candidates to slip by. After four rounds of interviews, I was released from consideration as they were moving forward with other candidates for MORE rounds of interviews. If the recruiter, the hiring manager (who would be the direct manager of this role), and the co-worker all gave a thumbs up, what was the next person looking for? Do they not trust their team to make a hiring decision? And there would have been more interviews after that. It should never take two months for what was described as a pretty critical need all along. I do recall one person saying that it was taking them a long time to find someone. I think that's on them. All this being said, everyone was super nice and professional; however, it just took way too long.
