The interview process was a positive experience. It included three interviews with the initial meeting and interview with the Director of the department. The second interview was with an internal team from cross departments. The third interview was with the rest of the department I was joining.
The team members interviewing were aware of background and were well researched on my work experience, so the questions seemed thought out. The questions asked also allowed for conversations, which allowed for more personal connections. The team members I met and their openness and personal commitment to GLSEN's mission and was a deciding factor of accepting this position.
