      Edison Engineering Development Program Interview

      11 May 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Cincinnati, OH
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE Aerospace (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2010

      Interview

I had a phone screen with the Manager of the section hiring Software EEDPs for GE Aviation where we mostly talked about Cincinnati but also my co-op experiences in school. Because my resume had been mixed up, I had little notice before I found out I was to attend an on-site interview in Grand Rapids, MI where I gave a very strict 5 minute presentation and rotated between 5 interviewers. All interview questions were behavioral. I believe 4 others were interviewing at the same time, with another batch that afternoon and then two batches the next day. After the interviews, our interview group had a set amount of time to build a lego model with the challenge that only one person could leave the room to see the completed model at a time. We then had a box long and presentation. I heard back a within two weeks.

      Interview

Had a behavioral interview using an online program. It went well and primarily focused on STAR method questions. It wasn't person to person which would've been better. They also asked about personal goals and why choose the development program.

      Interview

The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) at GE Aerospace is a prestigious, rotational leadership program designed to accelerate your career through technical training (like the Advanced Course in Engineering) and business-critical assignments. The interview process is rigorous, focusing heavily on leadership potential and technical fundamentals. It typically follows a multi-stage structure that can vary slightly by region (US vs. Europe/Asia), but generally adheres to the following format. online Test + Technical interview round+ HR round

      Interview

It was a half day of technical and behavioral interview questions. Technical questions were focused on previous technical and leadership experience, including problems you’ve solved and how you’ve solved them. Behavioral questions were standard, what you would find online. There was a short group interview with other candidates at the end of the process.
