I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GAF (Gainesville, TX) in Aug 2023

      Interview

Strictly behavioral interviewing and out of all the companies I interviewed with, this one had the most ridiculous hiring process I encountered. Nothing I was asked related to the job. Every question in the panel interview was "tell me about a time you...." or "describe a situation where..." . Thankful I did not get the job. Any company I interviewed with that was an extremely good job opportunity asked very relevant questions or was conducted as a casual conversation about my skills and experience, what they are looking for, and discussing the job position.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GAF (Gainesville, TX) in Mar 2022

      Interview

I applied on the company website and was contacted for a phone screening. After the phone screening I was scheduled for a virtual interview with the hiring manager. That interview went well and I was then invited on-site to do a panel interview with the hiring manager, plant manager, and one other guy who was completely disinterested in the meeting. The interview was very awkward as one interviewer couldn't understand why I left my previous job and kept coming back to it time and time again. The other interviewer was having a hard time staying awake and it dawned on me. I wasn't being interviewed because they thought I was a potential candidate. I was being interviewed to meet some quota. After the virtual interview and hours of wasted time interviewing and driving to Gainesville, TX, I received a generic email informing me that I did not get the position. Luckily for me.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How could you leave such a good job? I understand it was family related reasons I just can't imagine I'd leave like that.
