So at the beginning the process was not bad at all. They kept up with the emails letting me know all the interview information. The day of the interview went okay. I was a ball of nerves, really wanting the job and just being so nervous and excited to try and prove myself. I was told that i would know by Thursday if I got the job, the interview had been on a Wednesday so I assumed they meant next Thursday to give them time to think it over. By Thursday, I heard nothing. I was pretty crushed because I kind of prioritized that job above all interviews because I really wanted to work there. I sent out a follow up email just asking if there's been an update. Radio silent. The next Thursday rolls around, another follow up email goes out. In my mind, I planned on just being over it after that one. They finally reach out to me the next day stating that they are still deciding (understandable) and that if they don't email me by Monday, I should assume I didn't get the job (not understandable). I feel like ghosting with jobs is kind of a red flag, so I feel like I dodged a bullet. I'm writing this because honestly it was pretty messed up and if anyone else had a difficult time through this interview, you're not alone. I believe that you are deserving of a rejection email at the very least for peace of mind. Also, as of currently the job posting is still up, so people are still applying. I don't know if that means they didn't find anyone they like or maybe they just don't know how to end the job posting. All I want out of this, is for them to be more upfront about if you got the position or not. Hope this helps anyone out there!
