I applied online. I interviewed at FreedomCare (Hartford, CT)
Interview
The first step in the process started with a 30 minute interview with Talent Aquition. This interview was held on Teams, and I was contacted through email to set this up.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FreedomCare (New York, NY)
Interview
The recruiting process is long and unnecessary. I’ve also said that if you can’t do it in 3 rounds or less then you don’t know what you’re doing. They proved me right. I went through SIX rounds of interviews including a presentation. Met with the recruiter, manager, director, then all of them for the presentation, 2 dept heads and then the CEO.
At every stage I was told the feedback was great. After meeting with the CEO, I was asked to provide references. I thought I had the job in the bag. They didnt’t contact my references.
A few days later I was called with the rejection. The reason was “they went with someone they felt more aligned with”. Generic speak. Was told there was nothing negative.
Tried applying again months later when I saw the role pop up again. Instant rejection. Don’t wast your time, just apply elsewhere.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked the same questions in every single interview. It felt like no one shared notes about what was spoken about in previous rounds. I had to keep repeating the same info over and over again. It was the same basic questions, tell me about your experience, how would you approach this situation etc.
- Recruiter reached out with interest.
- Recruiter took a long time to follow up.
- Recruiter seemed disinterested and unhappy.
- Recruiter didn't really respond to my questions. For the limited questions they did respond to, the recruiter was scrolling through their phone.
If this is how the recruiter shows up, I can't imagine how terrible the rest of the company is. Dodged a bullet.
