I was approached on September 15th by a recruiter asking for my availability for a phone screening. After sending over a few times, I got no response. A few days later, I followed up asking if she needed more availability. Nothing. I followed up shortly after asking if she was still interested in screening me. Nothing. Days later, I finally sent her an Inmail on LinkedIn asking what the status of my application was. The Inmail was never opened. I had no choice but to rescind my candidacy, even though at this point I had to assume the position had been filled. I find it incredibly disrespectful that Formative would waste my time and for an initial phone screening - I wouldn't have been frustrated and disappointed if they'd already found a candidate at that time and no longer needed to screen applicants, but the bare minimum they could do would be to not ignore me. Not to mention, as a representative of the brand, I am getting my initial impressions of Formative from the recruiter who contacted me... and that impression is not good. Very disappointing experience.
