Applied online and was contacted for a phone interview two or three weeks later During the phone interview, I found out I was being considered for a higher position than what I applied for. I was pleasantly surprised. Highly structured phone interview. The first few questions were the most difficult; the interviewer asked what I knew about Fisher Investments, why I wanted to work there, where else I was applying/interviewing and why I would prefer Fisher over those other options. Also asked me extensively about my resume - much more in-depth than any other place I’ve interviewed, so make sure you have your resume in front of you. Another question I got was about my biggest accomplishment in the past three to four years (I’m a college senior). I was contacted a week later and told that the next step would be an on-site interview. I was emailed an application for HR - basically had to fill in the information from my resume onto an online application. It also had A LOT of questions about criminal disclosure (i.e. Has any domestic or foreign court ever found that you were involved in a violation of any investment-related statute(s) or regulation(s)?; Have you ever voluntarily resigned, been discharged or permitted to resign after allegations were made that accused you of violating investment-related statutes, regulations, rules, or industry standards of conduct?). Was flown out to Portland and put up in a nice hotel. Got to meet other people interviewing for the same position, was taken out to dinner and a tour of the city. The next day, I drove the rental car I was given to Camas, was given a tour of the building and did three back-to-back interviews. Then did an interview with a VP and was offered the position during the interview.

I enjoyed the process but also no idea where it’s going. Excited to see what happens and hoping for a good result. Also I need to write 30 words I guess
