The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fine Tune Learning (São Paulo, São Paulo) in May 2023
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter from an outsourcing/staff augmentation firm for a software engineer position at Fine Tune. Initially, the process was said to take 1-2 weeks total, with a total of one screening with the recruiting firm and 3 interviews at Fine Tune: a cultural fit with the VP of engineering, and two technical interviews, one with a developer and one with the tech lead/architect. These interviews all went very well and took place in the 1-2 week time frame. The first interview with the VP of engineering discussed company culture, the clients, projects and main challenges going forward with the company, and the tech interviews were more focused on discussing past experiences, projects I'd worked on, tech stacks, architectural approaches, etc. There were some light Python coding questions to test general Python knowledge. Overall, the experience was very pleasant and the interviews really were like conversations. In the following week, I received notice that the company wanted to schedule another round of interviews to make sure I was a perfect fit for the role, as this was supposed to be a long-term position and the client wanted to be reassured I was committed to the project. Eventually, it was decided that I would have a final interview with the CTO, which took place around one week after my last interview with the tech lead. As with the other interviews, this too was a light conversation, mostly about the company culture and its relationship to their main clients, current challenges, and how they maintained code quality. Overall, the interviews went smoothly but unfortunately, after all five interviews in total, and 5 weeks after my last interview, I still haven't managed to get a response from them.

Question 1
What are the advantages of working with microservices over monoliths?
Interview was 4 rounds: 1 round with HR, 2 technical rounds - AI and basic coding and last round with CXO. AI round will focus on your resume and some general AI questions. Excellent experience interviewing . Friendly people.
I had several interviews spanning a week. Things were rushed, which was ok. Enjoyed the team but HR is incompetent. They never kept me in the loop with what was going on and then after weeks of waiting they rejected me. Stay away from them. Just another company who can’t get their stuff together at the expense of others.
