Contacted by recruiter and quickly set up an interview with the hiring manager 2 days later. That went well so quickly moved to an "on-site". Three parts: live-coding, FE debugging and then a backend debugging conversation. Really enjoyed all the engineers and thought things went pretty well. Was told they'd been in touch soon. After almost 2 weeks of no response, I reached out to the recruiter myself and asked for feedback. I was told "Apologies, but position was actually closed for the time being". Interview feedback should be prompt. If I had not reached out myself, I'm sure I would have been ghosted. Poor candidate experience.

I got a response about 2 weeks after applying for the interview. The interview was conducted with an engineering manager along with HR on the call. The introductory interview was straightforward, polite and they mostly asked an overview of my career choices and technologies I have worked with. The interviewer was very knowledgeable, polite and a veteran in programming so the entire conversation was friction less. They were happy to take questions and I asked them things about why they are locating to Pune and how they're expending their teams to India, etc. After interview I immediately got a response back the next day and they had selected me for next rounds. Unfortunately I had found better offer by then and I politely declined. But I had a really good interview experience and I will consider applying in the future. The pay is reasonable for the role. It's not the highest, but it's a good pay for about 3 years experience.
