      Public Relations Specialist Interview

      4 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Fever (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026

      Interview

The process of the interview was underwhelming. I was referred by my friend to interview for an LA based role for something that’s in my industry… I knew i hit the jackpot with this one considering I have many years in the PR/Comms industry. I received the email saying i advanced to the remote interview and I knew i was about to land a great job with a great company. I gave my availability and we were set. The day of the interview comes and I’m logged on. So ready to impress. HR recruiter was a bit late to the interview, I thought there may have been a mistake but she finally hops on and she greets me with a “hola.” Granted I’m American and applying for an American role but i was courteous and said Hola back. Then quickly switched over to english because I didn’t want to get the wrong impression I’m trying to do this interview fully in Spanish… Interviewer seemed a bit stale. She asked about what I do and my background which aligned with the job. Admitted I lived in a different state from the job but was 100% willing to relocate. And then asked me when I can start and i said however long we need to do the process, i can move quickly or slowly. I’m pretty flexible. HR lady says “perfect, I’ll circle back to the PR team and will send over your resume and then I’ll send you some competency test that will evaluate my math, english and writing skills. It’s a bit odd to test my math skills considering my role is a writing, communications based role. Go figure…. A couple days go by and having heard anything until a lovely morning while drinking my coffee, i received the rejection letter saying they moved forward with other candidates. A week later and then you see that the job was reposted by Fever! LOL did you actually move forward with other candidates or ?! I reapplied with a different email and the SAME HR recruiter reached out not once, BUT TWICE, asking for my availability to do an interview. At this point this HR team is such a joke. Im pretty sure it must be a mistake. I didn’t reply, but i hope you get that role filled but with the organization skills of this company, maybe you’ll never find your role. I’m better off.
