I applied online. I interviewed at Feeding America in Nov 2025
Interview
I applied online and was invited to schedule a 30-minute interview with the hiring manager and HR. It felt like a respectful, friendly, and natural conversation. The same day, I was invited to a 1-hour interview for the following week. In the second round, I presented a case study of a previous project to 3 managers in addition to the 2 from the first round. This round felt somewhat more unfocused and vague, in part because it was unclear how all of these interviewers related to one another and to the open position. I received a rejection one week later, and the HR manager was very kind to offer some brief personalized feedback on my performance. Both interviews were conducted on WebEx, and I had some technical difficulties with that platform that impacted my confidence.

Question 1
What is your experience collaborating with designers in a diverse stakeholder context?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Feeding America in Oct 2024
Interview
Second round interview was a panel interview with three people. That was a bit intimidating and interviewers seemed a bit unenthusiastic and disconnected. Had a lot of time for questions at the end.

Question 1
Tell us about a project where you integrated community?
It was a short phone interview. The recruiter was friendly and respectful of time. I appreciated the candor and setting. Simple questions and a good conversation. The interview did not amount to an offer but I appreciate the time spent on me as a candidate.
