The process started with a HackerRank assessment followed by a virtual technical interview covering SQL, STLC/SDLC, testing methodologies, and process-related discussions. After clearing these rounds, I was informed that the upcoming face-to-face discussion would be the final round.
The face-to-face interview focused on technical and managerial scenarios, and afterward I received positive feedback from HR stating that I had been selected and that the offer process would begin.
However, an unexpected additional interview round was later introduced without prior communication. I waited around 1.5 hours at the office due to interviewer unavailability, and the discussion focused heavily on automation/framework development despite automation not being aligned with the role discussed. The interaction also felt rushed and unstructured.
The post-interview communication was the most disappointing part. After several follow-ups and days without responses from HR, I was informed that the additional round would not be considered and another discussion with HR/Global Head was scheduled. However, the meeting invite was cancelled on the interview day without explanation, and communication again stopped. Eventually, I received a WhatsApp message stating they would not move forward with my candidature.
While the initial rounds were professional and structured, the later stages lacked coordination, transparency, and timely communication, which negatively impacted the overall candidate experience.
