      I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Expereo (London, England) in Sept 2022

      Interview

      A simple process - 3 main steps and a couple of check-in steps I was approached by an agency, and I have a 1 hour conversation to find if there was a potential fit. This was followed by an initial chat with the Hiring Manager. Given the situation, I was then "interviewed" by a marketing agency - unusual but brilliant move. A check-in chat with the Hiring Manager and the Agency, followed by a Chat with one of the Sales Directors, then HR, then OFFER

      I was contacted directly by the Talent Acquisition team regarding a Director of Demand Generation position and subsequently participated in several interview stages, including a face-to-face meeting with senior leadership. The interview discussions themselves were positive, professional and engaging. However, the way the process concluded left a very different impression. After investing significant time in interviews and preparation, I received no communication for more than six weeks. I eventually followed up myself, only to be informed that another candidate had been selected and that an email had supposedly been sent previously. Regardless of whether an email was missed or not received, candidates who have progressed to advanced interview stages deserve a clear and timely update. Respecting people's time and effort is a fundamental part of a professional hiring process. While the interview experience was strong, the lack of follow-up, closure and feedback demonstrated a disappointing lack of consideration for the candidate experience, particularly for a senior-level role.

We endeavour to provide timely feedback to every candidate that interviews with us, however, as this was a senior position, the process was more drawn out than usual, so it did take a long time to come to a decision on the right candidate for the role. We are a small team and have just concluded a very busy hiring period so we were not able to keep every candidate in the process updated as frequently as we would normally like.
