Horrible experience, absolute waste of time. The actual interviews and organisation of the interviews were initially going great, but i was never able to finish the process because half way into this long process, the role was no longer open due to Expedia doing a reorganisation/reducing head count.
On top of that, i wasn't notified until the day of my third interview. I took time out to do the interview and ended up sitting in an empty zoom call for 15 minutes. It was only when I decided to email HR whilst sitting in this empty video zoom call that I found out that expedia was doing a "reorg" and that my role was unavailable.
Very poor communication but also such a massive waste of energy and time. Put in a lot of effort into preparing for interviews as well as taking time out to interview for them. If you interview, beware they might pull the plug on you half way. Potentially dodged a bullet with this company as they seem to be doing reorganisations
Application has 5 stages:
- Pre screen interview
- Mixed technical/behaviour interview with engineering manager
- Technical Interview with Mobile Developer
- HackerRank live coding with Principle Engineer and another mobile developer
- Behaviourial Interview With Engineering manager again
