Despite kind interviewers, my experience interviewing with Expedia was very poor. I went through at least five interviews, including a one-hour presentation where I was asked to outline my approach to key responsibilities of the role and solving some of their current problems. After advancing through all the stages, it came down to just me and one other candidate. They mentioned they were having difficulty deciding between us and asked about my salary expectations, which gave me the impression they might choose based on cost. After two months of back-and-forth, I received an email informing me they had decided not to fill the position. There was no phone call to offer any explanation or express appreciation for the free labor they asked from me during the process.
