I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Exelixis (Alameda, CA)
Interview
The interview process was fairly smooth. I initially spoke with the Director and after several days, I spoke with the manager who led the writing group. They were both highly professional and friendly. They asked me relevant questions about my work experience and other questions pertaining to the job responsibilities.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Exelixis (Alameda, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Got interview call through referral. Two different HR rounds, Two hiring manger round, one panel round, then one onsite round with team and the head of the department. They made me fly in for the onsite round which made me feel like I’m almost getting the job. All these rounds were spaced by 3-4 weeks. So almost 3 months. Eventually received a workday auto rejection. After all these rounds, I would have expected HR to send an email of rejection instead of a system rejection. The interview experience with fellow employees was not positive. They kept asking me why am I interested in this company. Haven’t I checked Glassdoor reviews. I could tell people were not happy there. Overall an awful experience. The company stands for the rating it has on Glassdoor. Stay away from this place.
