I interviewed at European XFEL

Interview

The first interview was very direct. I only told about myself in 10 minutes. Then the interview commitee asked me some other questions. Second interview was more though. They asked technical questions and tried to understand if I fit the criteria.

I applied online submitting a Cover letter CV and two recommendation letters. I did the interview approximately 4 weeks after the application. I gave a 10-15 minutes talked introducing myself followed by a 50 minutes Q&A (both directions).

Gespräch mit einer HR Mitarbeiterin, dem Legal Team und der Geschäftsführerin. Gespräch wurde auf Englisch angekündigt, fand aber auf Deutsch statt. Schriftliche Kommunikation fand hinterher wieder auf Englisch statt. Das fand ich extrem albern.
