      Developer Support Analyst Interview

      25 Jun 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Esri in Jun 2009

      Interview

It was a long drawn out process - I had around 4 rounds of phone screens, including 1 from HR, 2 from my to-be colleagues and 1 from my to-be manager. Then after almost 1 month, I heard back from them and was called for an onsite interview - which was a rigorous day-long interview with almost 10 different inetrviewers - I was taken from one office to another (that's one great thing - we all have our own private cabins) and by 2 weeks, I heard back from the HR saying they were interested in hiring me

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

There was a role-play session wherein 2 of my to-be colleagues tried to make me answer their queries in a good-cop, bad-cop session.

      Question 2

I was asked technical questions on some UNIX commands, SQL commands, web technologies, developer support and how has my experience been helping customers; and some standard behavioral questions like how I will get along with my team members, how I handled conflict between team-members
