Very very poor. The hiring manager indicated that he was doing me a favour by asking offering me an interview. During the 1st interview I was not asked about my current role (technical support analyst) nor my previous experience which had many soft skills required for the role. Instead told me a construction related story about his dad and asked me 'how would you communicate with men on a building site?' ....very strange. The second interviewers were two young engineers. When I asked them what it was like to work for Ergo, they looked at each other and said '......err, its grand'. I then asked them 'What skills do you require for this role?' and it was clear that there were no company parameters set out for the interview process, nor were there any professional development strategies in place for employees.
The 2nd interview was worse. After I arrived I was informed that the interviewer was not aware that he was interviewing and was in another meeting. I was left waiting for 40+ mins before being kicked out of the meeting room by another employee as he had the room booked, leaving me stranded in the hallway. The interview eventually took place in the CEO's office. When I asked what salary was on offer and if there was any negotiating space I was told the hiring manager would discuss it further. A friend of mine at the company was informed by the manager that my salary demands were too high. No demands were ever made.
Worst process ever. There was no feedback given from the company and a lie was told as to why I was not suitable for the role. I felt very disappointed by the whole affair.
If you want to feel devalued and unsure of your own skills you should interview here, just for the experience.
