I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Equitable Advisors (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Was contacted by an employee via linked in. Went through 3 interviews including the first phone interview. Moved very fast compared to other firms that I was interviewing with. You have to have existing natural market to start your practice. Not straight forward about the compensation and salary until the very end of interview process. But very up front about their expectations in terms of sales goals.

Question 1
How would you develop your markets? What is your natural market?
Incredibly easy, they aim to hire anyone with a pulse to sell life insurance and annuities. Beware of the comp structure and ask about the bonus and override your manager will get from all of your work.
Very laid back. I was never asked any question about my job experience or any of the sorts. The interview consisted of a 15 minute conversation of small talk and getting to know the VP of the team you will be working under. The second stage was at the office location where you learn about the company and meet some of the staff.
I interviewed at Equitable Advisors (Boca Raton, FL)
Interview
Very easy interview, not too many questions they ask more listening to what they have to say about the role. Just know that you’ll have to find prospects on your own when starting off
