I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Emergent Software in Apr 2022
Interview
I interviewed in early April and the process took about 2 weeks total. First upon sending in my resume I was given a link to a 2 part assessment to complete. The first part was mostly logic based questions to assess critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills. The second part was a coding algorithm problem to solve. Total time limit was 60 minutes with 20 minutes for the assessment and the rest of the time for the algorithm. I then received an invite to a video interview to go over my basic background information and had a chance to ask questions about the company and position. It was a mostly informal call which seemed designed to evaluate soft skills, needs and, culture fit for both parties more than anything else. The next step was a take home coding challenge with a 4 hour limit on it, I can't spoil any details on it but it was straightforward and nothing crazy. That was then reviewed and looked good so I was moved on to the final step which was a technical interview where the first half was a code review of my challenge and the second half was technical questions. After that final step there was about a weeks wait while they finished interviewing other candidates but my inital point of contact reached out to me after a few days to let me know what was going on, which was very nice to not have to wonder or contact them to find out what was going on. Overall I felt the interview process was good and moved quickly with the candidate knowing where they were in the process and the steps that were left the entire time.

Wish I checked Glassdoor first, most of the positive reviews seem so obviously fake that it's comical:
"It started with a quiz similar to a mini-IQ test that was intriguing and thoughtful. I also took a coding assessment that combined a ton of needed skills useful in today’s industry."

The interview experience was top-notch. I was introduced to various roles across the organization throughout the process. It started with a quiz similar to a mini-IQ test that was intriguing and thoughtful. I also took a coding assessment that combined a ton of needed skills useful in today’s industry. The final interview had me meet two incredible developers who were kind and talked to me about my project as well as the types of projects and tools used at Emergent Software.
