I applied online and participated in a phone screen with the HR team as a first step. The woman I chatted with didn't know anything about the position and blamed the hiring manager. I ended up moving forward to an in-person interview. The team somewhat lukewarm, but pleasant enough, but the questions were very painfully generic (not focus on the position at all) and seemed to harshly scrutinize—lots of "tell us about a time you failed" questions. I left the meeting feeling pretty beaten down and had already decided I didn't want the position... which was good since it was radio silence for eight weeks before I got an autogenerated email saying they selected another applicant. Overall a negative interview and selection process from a company who says they value communication and positive customer service.
