The initial interview was fine, but then the owner wanted to keep bringing me in for "interviews" which were basically unpaid hours of job training. I was told I had the job during the first interview, but was then told to come in and workout during one of the group training sessions to see if it was a good match. I did this, and expected to have a job schedule after this workout session. However, after prompting the owner to tell me when I would actually start the job, he admitted that he wanted me to come in for the next two weeks to shadow classes and learn about the company before committing to hiring me. So initially, the owner wanted NO risk on his part, but wanted the potential candidate (me) to take all the hiring risk, commit to 2 weeks of UNPAID training (which is ILLEGAL in Washington state), without any guarantee of a job. No thanks.
