I discovered the position on HireaHawk.com (a website students and alumni from the University of Iowa can use for their job search), applied for the internship, and registered it as an academic internship through the University of Iowa.
Once I applied to the internship, I was contacted immediately by EBP's founder/CEO to schedule an interview. After exchanging many emails and phone calls, he and I finally decided on a time and place to meet for the interview.
The interview was very informal (he wanted to know more about me than he did my experience). All the owner did was discuss the position with me, explain to me what I would be doing, and see if I was still interested in the job.
After spending half an hour with him, he offered me the position and wanted me to start the job immediately.
The transition went smoothly.
