      Product Designer Interview

      24 Feb 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Eight Bit Studios (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2019

      Interview

The interview was generally fine. A bit unstructured and intimidating because there were 4 people in there asking you questions from all directions. I thought it went okay but definitely didn’t feel great about the lack of time going over my work and honestly was not asked a ton of questions about it. I got told via feedback from the recruiter that the team thought I was not energetic or passionate about my work. I have a laid back personality, but do very much care about my work. Although, if I was over the moon passionate about what I was doing why would I be looking for a new role? I thought it was a bit non-constructive to give that as feedback. Overall, I think if the interview had less people and more focused questions for the interviewee that would be a better experience.
