I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ecolab (Sugar Land, TX) in Sept 2016
Interview
Phone screen from HR followed by on site interviews. Lots of standard behavioral type interview questions and some technical finance questions. You will then come back for a second round if the first goes well.
The first filter is a 1-hour interview with relevant senior management where they ask about you and some technical questions. I didn't get selected to follow up in the process but it seemed like a very typical recruiting process.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ecolab (Saint Paul, MN) in Oct 2023
Interview
Interview process was okay. It moved fairly quickly and people were somewhat nice. The first round was a phone call with the recruiter and that was a half hour interview. I had a very good experience with the recruiter. The second round was with a director and lasted 30-45 minutes. It was comprised of behavioral questions only and the interviewer was nice.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Ecolab (Naperville, IL)
Interview
The process was unorganized and lengthy. There were also scheduling issues that resulted in the need to take an additional trip to the office for on-site meeting, and also an incorrect interview schedule being sent.
The actual interviews were largely conversational, and everyone was very friendly.
