I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Eccalon
Interview
The interview process consisted of three rounds:
- initial non-technical 30-minute call with a recruiter,
- a one-hour technical conversation with the VP of Engineering
- a technical one-hour discussion with three engineers.
The first two interviews were very positive. Both were conversational, well-structured, and gave a good understanding of the org and company culture.
The final round, however, felt inconsistent compared to previous ones. Communication during the interview was unclear at times, and several questions were difficult/vague to interpret despite being related to my day-to-day responsibilities. This made it challenging to provide concise answers without asking rounds of clarification.
There also appeared to be some lack of coordination among interviewers, as similar questions were asked more than once. Additionally, the structure of the interview left limited time for candidate questions, as most of the session was spent on interviewer-led questioning.
The process took about four weeks, and two weeks after the final interview to reach a decision. Overall, while the early stages were strong, the final interview experience could benefit from clearer communication and better alignment among interviewers.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Eccalon in Nov 2025
Interview
1 recruiter screening, 1 technical (non-coding) interview with the CTO, and a technical (non-coding) panel interview with a few developers. Overall process took less than a month, but the turnaround between the last interview and the offer was significantly longer than normal. The last interview was very disorganized and poorly executed, including repeated questions.
