I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at East Bay Express (Oakland, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
The interview is more of a probing as to whether you are a right fit for the culture of the company. The production department does a quick overview of the role and duties, then asks more questions orienting around personality. Portfolios were viewed beforehand, and also helpful to bring to the interview itself.

Question 1

Interview
I submitted my résumé, cover letter, and clips to the email address. I received an email shortly after to schedule an interview. The interview was in-person and lasted maybe ten minutes. He mostly just looked over my résumé and asked about prior experience, which I was lucky to have a fair amount of it, but I don't think that mattered too much. I was then offered the position about a week later. I sometimes wondered whether this was competitive at all and whether they accepted all the applicants they received because there were only two interns while I was there, while other semesters had multiple.
