I applied online. I interviewed at EarthScope Consortium
Interview
My experience interviewing with EarthScope Consortium was frustrating due to poor communication during the hiring process.
After being invited to interview for the GeoWorkforce Associate II role, my interview was canceled the night before it was scheduled. Shortly afterward, I received a generic rejection email saying they had decided to move forward with candidates whose backgrounds were more aligned with the role.
I fully understand that hiring needs can change, but canceling at the last minute and not responding to a respectful follow-up asking for clarification reflected poorly on the candidate experience.
I would encourage the organization to improve communication and transparency with applicants, particularly after candidates have already invested time preparing for interviews.
