I was excited about this opportunity because of company's mission, leadership and the challenging responsibilities.
Unfortunately, due to recruiting team's miscommunication and lack of streamline in hiring process, It wasn't a great experience .
For some reason, the interview with Talent acquisition manager was scheduled after my interview with the director . Interview with the Director went great and I was invited and confirmed for the Panel Interview.
Screening round with Talent acquisition manager which is usually the first round was scheduled after the director spoke to me. A day before my Panel interview, I was told I am not eligible due my Immigration status and my invitation was cancelled.
Applicants on visas already miss out on lot of employment opportunities due to their immigration status. When an interview is cancelled due to employers miscommunication and vague recruitment process, it left me demotivated and upset.
I would simply request the Recruiting team to streamline their hiring process and be transparent from the start so the applicants do not suffer the rejection due to their immigration status after they are considered for an interview.
