      Stats Analyst I Interview

      8 Dec 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Bristol, CT
      Accepted offer
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ESPN

      Interview

Long interview process with multiple stages. Must be patient. Will need to pass a sports assessment to prove knowledge of "sports trivia"-type content before full interview process begins. Then interviews with several managers and directors of varying levels. Depending on openings, the length of time from application to offer can be many months.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Be prepared to answer questions on how you handle adversity in different aspects of life.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ESPN (Bristol, CT)

      Interview

The first step is to apply online. Then, a sports exam that is not too bad if you are a sports enthusiast. The phone call with HR and the Hiring Managers.

      Question 1

Name a time when you had to use stats to tell a story.

      Stats Analyst Interview

      25 Jul 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bristol, CT
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ESPN (Bristol, CT) in May 2011

      Interview

The interview process was relatively easy, but in order to get an answer from the company about your interview you need to call them yourself. They said they were going to call back in a week and 2 weeks had passed, so after the 3rd week I called back and turned down the offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you want to work in sports?
