I applied 5 weeks prior to being called for an interview- (which looking back clearly shows incompetence on HR's part). HR initiated the call only to schedule a Teams interview with the Director a few days later. During the interview the Director asked many claims-related questions which I answered and the interview seemed to be somewhat conversational. I thought this was a good sign, only to receive a generic rejection email nearly 2 weeks later from another HR rep which I'd never spoken to. I have over a decade of experience in healthcare, a bachelor's degree in this field, years of direct experience working denials within Epic, answered every question during the interview and I was still rejected. I think it boiled down to color. Based on a quick check of the Director through LinkedIn, she seems to have a preference working only with those who look like her. A disappointing experience altogether!
