      Director Interview

      30 Mar 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EAB

      Interview

The hiring process included two assessments (one not the proctored, one proctored) and eight interviews. I wasn't chosen for the job, but due to some strange twist of fate, the other final candidate was but didn't last long. They contacted me to see if I was still available, had my references verified, and then wanted to have a chat... They wanted me to convince THEM why they should hire me AND made changes to the position. During the conversation, they also advised that they were thinking of waiting until JULY to bring me in - yes FOUR months from now. Arrangements were made for me to visit the office and then two days later, the job was reposted. So, I found out in a roundabout way that I wasn't being chosen again. I feel like I really dodged a bullet.

      Interview

Still waiting to hear back after initial conversation with HR and completion of online test. No real feedback given; no follow-up opportunities; no idea if still being considered or not.

      Director Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at EAB (Washington, DC) in Jan 2021

      Interview

Quite the journey but they were pretty clear about the process. First is a 15 minute "IQ" test which can be a bit intimidating but there are practice questions and links they provide to help. They make you do it again with an online proctor if you make it to round two to make sure you didn't cheat (who would cheat on that? thats pretty sad). There is also a personality test but hard to "fail" that. Fairly quickly I was able to go to a half day of zoom interviews with three very sharp people that I would have worked with including my future boss had I gotten the job. There was also a writing assessment which once you started it was not that bad. It simulated a situation at work and asked you to create an email in an hour based on a "real" situation at the position. I had my heart set on the job and was bitterly disappointed given my sales background and deep knowledge of education sector but there are lots of great people out there and they chose someone else. Entire process took about a month. I wont likely ever apply again to any position there given this experience but its a great company with smart people. They just didnt want me to be in it! That's life sometimes.

      Question 1

No "trick" questions but expect to do a role play of a typical sales scenario.
