Applied online then had to answer a few questions afterwards e.g. why I would suit the role and how I would cope with the international aspect of the scheme. I was then invited to a digital interview. Still waiting to hear back.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Dyson in Jan 2020

      Interview

Initially the process was smooth. There was good communication between the talent team and me, and the results for each stage were quick. However, come january things got completely out of hand. I did a video assessment test on the 10th, and was told I'd receive the results by the end of the month, at the latest. Instead I got them in the last week of March, by which time I had to already accept another job offer. Whats more, the talent team would not respond on time, if at all. When they did it was the generic answer, followed by the excuse that they had 1500 applicants to decide through. Very disappointed by the level of unprofessionalism that I did not expect to see coming from a company like dyson. Perhaps this was just a one off performance, but it certainly raises questions about their efficiency as a company.

      Application

      Interview

I applied to Dyson at the beginning of November 2017 through the debut app. A member of the talent acquisition team suggested I apply for a different role. I resubmitted an application for that and then heard nothing for about 2 weeks. I chased them up and she said she I should have received and automated email straight away. They had sent the to the wrong email. When I gave them the correct email address, I still heard nothing. This went back and forth like this for about 3 weeks until I had exhausted all the email addresses I had, I ended up giving them my mother's email address. Having different closing dates on different bit of information. I emailed again asking when I would hear if I had been progressed to the next stage. Heard nothing. Called Head Office, weren't allowed to give me anyone number. Emailed several people no one replied. Only way I could actually contact someone was through their personal linked in page. The end of January came and went and after pesting them on the email for a week. I finally heard back saying that I would definitely here by the end of the week. Heard nothing. Emailed again the next week asking to be told I Ould hear by the end of that week. Still heard nothing. Beginning of the next week finally emailed again and was told I had not been progressed through. Quite frankly I think this is a blessing because I was not keen to work in a company that can not even manage its own recruitment process. Out of all the applications and companies I have interacted with, this has by far been the worst. I would not recommend anyone apply here. You will just be fobbed off and told to wait and wait and wait. I was so excited about this company at the beginning of the process, but that lack of competency from Dyson has drained that excitement. Would not be surprised either if I got rejected because I emailed so much, I was an absolute pest, but I just wanted simple answer.
